Curt Scheewe got tired of rebuilding his fence every time a black bear wanted access to his yard, and rather than dissuade the bear from visiting his yard, he did what every yellow-bellied Canadian would do; he built a welcome door for the bear.

Specifically a giant doggy door for the bear to use.

Check it out:

It’s like a Drive-Thru window for bears:

“What’ll you have, sir? “

“One Canadian family, please!”

“Go ahead and drive up to the first doggy door.”

Scheewe’s family was worried about coyotes or other smaller animals getting in the knocked-down fence, so they decided to add the heavier door that only something as strong as a bear could open.

‘Sure enough two weeks later he comes walking down the driveway and walks right through it like he’s done it 20 times,’ he said.

That bear is lucky he picked a Canadian to harass; they’re just so ridiculously nice — unless you are a trucker or a pastor.

But bears, bears they love!

‘Our neighbours, we all love the bear,’ Scheewe said.

‘We are careful with our garbage and our compost, but we enjoy being on the bear route. We don’t really want him to go away.’

What a bunch of Canadian hippy-dippy malarkey! I mean, gag me with a gravy-covered fry already.

If a black bear were repeatedly knocking down an American’s fence, I think we all know what would happen.
