Leftists are raging mad that former President Donald Trump “misgendered” and misnamed CNN host Anderson Cooper.

The first instance of him referring to Cooper with the wrong name came in a Truth Social post published Friday morning. In the post, he commented on Harris’ CNN town hall the other day with Cooper.

“Kamala again made a fool of herself last night at a Radical Left fundraiser, and this after putting on a very Low IQ display at a FAKE NEWS CNN Town Hall,” he wrote.

“She was almost incoherent, and even host Allison Cooper, who couldn’t get her to make any sense, became agitated. Kamala is DEMANDING LATE TERM ABORTION, in months 7, 8, and 9, and even execution after birth, and people aren’t buying it – and they never will. She is a Radical Left Lunatic!”  he added.

Look:

Trump doubled down later at an event in Austin, Texas while speaking about border security and immigration.

“She refused to own up to it [her horrible record on the border], and last night she said she works for strong borders,” he said. “The night before, the town hall, with Cooper, was unbelievable. Allison Cooper got so angry.”

His remarks referenced the fact that, to his credit, Cooper actually pushed back hard on Harris’ lies and bull during the town hall..

Listen:

While it’s not entirely clear why he has labeled Cooper this way, keep in mind he’s had nicknames for virtually everybody, including fellow Republicans like Florida Gov. Ron “DeSanctimonious” DeSantis to Rep. Ted “Lyin’ Ted” Cruz.

Nevertheless, because Cooper is gay, many on the left assumed Trump referred to Cooper as “Allison” because he’s homophobic.

As a result, leftists were enraged by Trump’s nickname.

Look:

It’s possible that the true reason for the nickname is Cooper’s friendly interview in 2019 with E. Jean Carroll, the woman whom Trump and his supporters believe made up a fake sexual abuse allegation against him.

For whatever reason, Trump brought the interview back up last month to accuse Cooper of having coached Carroll before the interview began.

“There was an Anderson Cooper interview where she said essentially, ‘No, he didn’t rape me,’” the former president told reporters last month. “He said, ‘We’re going to commercial break right now.’ Then she came back from commercial break and she was much more hostile.”

In a supposed “fact-check” that aired soon after, Cooper mentioned how Trump had previously referred to him with a female name.

“He recently referred to me with a female first name, which I guess is like a third-grade gay taunt,” he said.

Listen:

However, it’s not exactly clear when Trump previously referred to him as Allison, as there appear to be no records online of this.

Cooper’s complaints were met with mockery for the fact that folks felt there were more important issues to address than a nickname and of course Carroll’s very dubious allegations.
