Twisting former President Donald Trump’s remarks left MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough suggesting like-minded supporters should “move somewhere else.”

As time continued to runout for leftist talking heads to give Vice President Kamala Harris a leg up in the election demonization of the GOP leader increasingly smacked of desperation. Friday on “Morning Joe,” this included cherry-picked commentary from the president used to suggest it was Trump’s belief the United States was inherently a “hellhole.”

“If anybody believes that America is a garbage can, that’s voting this election, they’re just stupid. They just don’t know the facts. I don’t mean to bore people…they may want to move somewhere else if they think it’s such a hellhole,” argued Scarborough.

The host was reacting to remarks made by the Republican nominee at a Thursday rally in Arizona where he’d contended, “There’s a lot of people coming out of the Congo, not just South America. They’re coming from 181 countries as of yesterday right in — we’re a dumping ground. We’re like a garbage can for the world.”

While the president was taking aim at the globalist open border policies that had encouraged and allowed for millions of foreign nationals to enter the country illegally, leaving citizens susceptible to the violence of criminals like the Venezuelan prison gang Tren de Aragua, Scarborough appeared determined to disregard Trump’s meaning in favor of claiming he believed the United States was trash.

“The crazy thing is, again, these people that used to be flag-wavers for America, now will wave their Trump flags,” the host told co-anchor Willie Geist, advancing the narrative that Trump had dictatorial motivations. “They sit back and smile and will vote for a guy that disparages the United States of America constantly, says he’s going to arrest his political opponents and disparages generals who have given their entire lives for this country.”

Agreeing to the premise, Geist tried to sell Harris supporters as defenders of the Constitution as he slammed the tens of millions of Americans hoping to see the GOP leader return to the White House.

“Yeah, in Donald Trump’s eyes, being a patriot, a term that he has used and his supporters use, being a patriot means supporting him, doing what he thinks is right. It has nothing to do with the country of the Constitution,” he said.

“It has to do with Donald Trump,” he argued.

“Yesterday, calling America a garbage can,” Geist continued, equally without context. “He’s called America a hellhole, a Third World country. It brings to mind the line that Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro likes to use a lot, which is, ‘Hey, Donald Trump, stop [sh*t]-talking America. What is it with you? Why do you think America is so terrible?”

Before Scarborough added his suggestion that Trump supporters should get out, the co-anchor further spun, “But I think the good news is, I think most Americans do not believe that America is a hellhole or a garbage can. A lot of us are proud to have lived here our entire lives. We celebrate the country. And we’ll see if people vote that way.”
