Elon Musk posed a simple question in response to a Gallup survey on voter identification, asking, “Then why do ‘Democrats’ oppose the will of the people?”

The survey found that a whopping 84% of American voters favor photo identification requirements at their voting place. As it stands, 36 states request identification of some kind to vote, according to Gallup.

No surprise, there is a huge gap when comparing Republicans to Democrats, but still most Democrats want voter ID.

“Republicans are more supportive of policies that would help ensure ineligible people don’t vote,” Gallup noted. “Republicans nearly unanimously back requiring proof of citizenship to register to vote and photo identification when voting, but Democrats’ support for each policy is about 30 points lower (though still at the majority level).”

On a positive note, Democrats are slowly coming around to the common sense measure, with the latest survey showing a 14-point improvement from 2022 in requiring photo identification to vote.

When breaking it down by skin color, people of color support voter identification by 80% — these are the same people Democratic politicians cite in their opposition to requiring identification.

The same Democrat politicians who manipulate the immigration process to leave our borders wide open and then advocate for a pathway to citizenship after 10 million-plus illegal immigrants have entered the U.S. in less than three years also advocate for a wide-open voting process where no ID is required and everyone who shows up is welcome to cast a ballot.

Musk has been beating the drum about this same cabal strategically relocating tens of thousands of migrants to swing states, warning that Democrats are attempting to establish “permanent one-party rule” as they have done in California.

As for Elon Musk’s question, social media users were only too happy to provide him with answers.

Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story from Musk’s free speech platform X, see if you can pick up on these:
