For someone who is despised almost universally on most cable news networks, Donald Trump has a peculiar habit of provoking rousing responses when interacting with the American people.

The latest example of this took place in Las Vegas, where the former president and 2024 Republican nominee was met with raucous applause when he paid a visit to The Havana Cuban Kitchen & Bakery.

Upon arriving at the restaurant, Trump stood up on the inner door threshold to greet a large crowd of supporters awaiting his arrival. A massive cheer rang out before those gathered began chanting, “USA! USA!”

Once inside the eatery, the same chant broke out as Trump stood alongside Sen. Marco Rubio, the Cuban-American Republican from Florida — note in the video below that a member of the media ignored the positive cheer to ask Trump about the Democrat narrative that he saw Hitler in a positive light.

Trump replied that it was not true and that Democrats have “made up” stories like this before, not that the media will be fixated on his take on Democratic Party talking points.

The New York Times reported that Trump “was smarting on the other side of the country” because Barack Obama “had been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize and not him.”

As for the trip to The Havana Cuban Kitchen & Bakery, this is all the Times had to say about it, “In between the two rallies, the former president visited a Cuban restaurant and bakery about 10 minutes off the Las Vegas Strip with Senator Marco Rubio, the Florida Republican who grew up in Las Vegas and whose parents immigrated to the U.S. from Cuba.”

Yet, in another clip making the rounds online, the large crowd was seen chanting, “We love Trump!” and “Trump! Trump!”
