Having pretty much emptied the quiver in eight years of attacks against Donald Trump, Democrats find themselves having to depend on an oldie but a goodie for their October surprise, which is that Trump is Adolf Hitler reincarnated.

Democratic nominee Kamala Harris is limping to the finish line with most polling suggesting Trump has all the momentum. In a desperate attempt to stir some excitement, mastermind Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, and an A-list of left-wing celebrities are taking to the campaign trail. Hillary Clinton is also getting in on the act, complete with a Hitler analogy while talking about a planned Trump rally at New York City’s Madison Square Garden.

“One other thing that you’ll see next week is Trump actually reenacting the Madison Square Garden rally in 1939. I write about this in my book,” Clinton told CNN’s Kaitlan Collins. “President Franklin Roosevelt was appalled that neo-Nazis, fascists in America were lining up to essentially pledge their support for the kind of government that they were seeing in Germany. So I don’t think we can ignore it.”

“Now, it may be a leap for some people and a lot of others may think, ‘I don’t want to go there. I don’t want to say that.’ But please open your eyes to the danger that this man poses to our country because I think it is clear and present for anybody paying attention,” she continued.

Clinton is referring to the infamous Nazi rally that took place at MSG in 1939, which was attended by 20,000 people. She is also suggesting those who attend the upcoming rally are essentially Nazis, as the Trump campaign noted above, but this is par for the course for the woman who labeled Trump voters “deplorables” in the 2016 election.

Democrats are going all-in with their claim that Trump is a fascist, getting a hearty assist from former Trump Chief of Staff Gen. John Kelly, who suddenly remembered two weeks out from the election that Trump sometimes said Hitler “did some good things,” while claiming that Trump “certainly falls into the general definition of fascist.” Kelly worked for the president for a year and a half.

Doing her bit to push the narrative, Collins asked Clinton if she agreed with Kelly and Kamala Harris, who has also picked up the “fascist” line of attack.

“I think that’s a fair question. And I can’t wholly answer it,” Clinton said. “But I think number one, you have a duty when you’re running for president — you know, I tried to sound the alarm about him back in 2016 but it was really an uphill climb because people could not literally imagine that he posed a danger or that his character was so lacking when it came to the responsibility of being president, so I totally understand that, but now there’s just too much evidence about what he wants to do, what he is saying he wants to do.

“So number one, I think that someone running for president, like Vice President Harris, really has a duty to sound the alarm.”

Conservative radio talk host Tammy Bruce pointed out in a post on X an inconvenient truth Hillary Clinton overlooked with her assessment: “Weird, considering Bill and Hillary had a giant rally at Madison Square Garden for the Democrats way back in 1992 when Bill accepted the nomination at the Democratic National Convention! And somebody better warn Pope Francis who had his own event at MSG in 2015. Who knew?”
