Maricopa County prosecutor Neha Bhatia said Jeffrey Michael Kelly, the suspect arrested in the shooting of a Democratic National Committee office in Phoenix, had a stash of more than 120 guns and over 250,000 rounds of ammunition inside of his home.

Bhatia said federal agents told her the guns were seized at Kelly’s initial court appearance on Wednesday.

She also said that scopes, body armor and silencers were found at the home and a machine gun was discovered inside Kelly’s car.

Bhatia said the discoveries made law enforcement believe the suspect was “preparing to commit an act of mass casualty.”

According to the Associated Press, Kelly, 60, allegedly fired at the front door as well as a window at the Arizona Democrats’ field office in Tempe.
