EXCLUSIVE: Ex-CIA Official Talks About His New Book, Delivers Stark Warning on ’24 Election

Joseph B. Sweeney has recently authored “Dangerous Injustice: How the Democrats Weaponized the DOJ to Protect Biden and Prosecute Trump,” pulling from his over 25 years of experience as a CIA General Counsel and intelligence official. As his bio states, Sweeney has been involved “from the tip of the spear to the butt end” of our nation’s intelligence apparatus, which gives him a particular perspective not just on national security, but on how our laws are used in that space. Sweeney also has an in-depth understanding of the handling of classified information and the criminal cases that surround the use and misuse of it. So, that knowledge and his decades of experience helped him to craft this detailed work. In the book, Sweeney compares the classified documents cases against both the former president and the current president and offers unique insight into how the Democrat Party used our national security agencies to target and persecute one while running interference for the other.

In my interview with Sweeney, he discussed how his rigorous research into both cases, married with his insider knowledge of the legal process involved with classified material, allowed him to offer up a detailed, densely-packed, and engaging documentation on not just the cases, but how specifically our national security arms have been corrupted toward these nefarious ends. “Dangerous Justice” gives the everyday American insight and evidence into how the Democrats created this current atmosphere of weaponization and how we, as a country, must work our way out of it.  

“I was happy to do it. You know, I didn’t write my book for fame or fortune,” Sweeney said. 

“I did it because I couldn’t believe what was happening in my country. And I also couldn’t believe that there was no accurate reporting on what was happening in my country. I was uniquely situated to be able to bring a truth to people that I hope they’ll want.”

I believe the American people both want and need the truth, as well as credible answers; answers the current administration and officials who run these particular agencies have no desire to give them, which makes the timing of Sweeney’s book quite crucial. Sweeney delved more deeply into why this book is important for all Americans.

When Sweeney worked for the CIA, he was under every administration from former Democrat President Bill Clinton to current Democrat President Joe Biden. If you’re doing the math, the majority of that time was under Democrat administrations with one Republican administration wedged in between. Sweeney gave insight on the difference between working under both political parties:

“You know, this is one of the things I’ve seen,” Sweeney said. 

“I served every administration from Clinton to Biden. I was my whole life politically independent. I ignored politics. I just chopped the wood in front of me. It was as I started to get more senior, what I saw in the Democratic administrations is that they never stopped running for office. They never stopped pandering to their political base and they never rolled up their sleeves and actually tried to run the damn country, right. They were always trying to just score political points. Everything was to retain power. “

Which accurately describes not only this current presidential campaign, but all the destructive moves made by Democrats from the lawfare against former President and GOP nominee Donald Trump to election integrity within the states. Sweeney continued,

The Republican administrations actually tried to run the country and they took hits for it, but they stopped campaigning. They stopped pandering and they just got busy trying to run the country. And I would like to see more of that.

Wouldn’t we all, but if Democrats get their way, and things do not go well for former President Trump, we may no longer have a country which needs to be run. In interviews with Trump, Republican VP candidate JD Vance, and with former national security people like Kash Patel, they make a concerted effort to praise the character and work of the rank and file agents while laying blame for the weaponization on the national security officials like U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland or former Secret Service Director Kim Cheatle. However, Sweeney’s assessment of where to lay blame was slightly more nuanced.

In light of the election being mere weeks away, I asked Sweeney what he thought we might see in a Harris-Walz administration versus a Trump-Vance administration. His response was insightful and rather sobering in terms of not only the mood of the country but the disreputable aims present in our two-party system in general and the Democrat Party in particular.

But a two-party system is what we are currently stuck with and the rot is inherent in both. However, Sweeney explained why it is extremely important that the Republican Party maintain control of the House and gain the majority in the Senate. Sweeney also offered solutions to reversing the weaponization and returning sanity to our national security arms. What was most informative about Sweeney’s solutions is that his assessment was not just from his decades of CIA-insider experience, but from the viewpoint of an American citizen who believed in the work that he did, as well as the inherent integrity of the country for which he worked.

I discovered so much stuff in my research I couldn’t even get it all into the book. I had to triage and put in the most important stuff. And so, I’m still loading up the website with more stuff, and hopefully the next couple of weeks I’m going to put all my research there, because I had a lot of people reaching out to me saying, “Wow, I didn’t think that could possibly be true, but I, you know, I had to do some digging.” But it actually is true. Well, I’m going to put all the research there, so if anyone ever wants to check any of my work, you know that they can do it easily.
