Election Day, November 5, marks 15 years since the massacre of American soldiers at Fort Hood. This event has meaning for the black men Obama is badgering to vote for Kamala Harris as a matter of duty.
On November 5, 2009, self-proclaimed “soldier of Allah” Nidal Hasan murdered 13 Americans – 14 counting Pvt. Francheska Velez’s unborn child – and wounded more than 30 others. One of them was Sgt. Alonzo Lunsford, an African American, who took seven bullets from Hasan. A civilian police officer wounded Hasan, who was kept on salary while his case proceeded. The African American Lunsford and other victims complained that Hasan got better medical care than they did, and in 2014, Lunsford wrote to Obama’s chief of staff Denis McDonough:
As you may know, the President and high-ranking members of the military promised me, my family and the other Fort Hood terror attack survivors that the federal government would ‘make them whole.’ After more than four and one-half years, however, the government has yet to make good on this promise. We believe that if the President could hear, first-hand, our plight and our mistreatment at the hands of his bureaucracy, that he would take the steps needed to set things right. Therefore, we ask for ten minutes of his time.
On his visit to Fort Hood, Obama spoke of “old wounds” but mentioned not a single victim of the massacre and declined to meet with Sgt. Lunsford. If the soldier thought Obama didn’t care about black men – except for their vote – it would be hard to blame him. As Lunsford should know, Kamala Harris also disrespects black victims of Islamic terrorist attacks.
On December 2, 2015 in San Bernardino, Islamic terrorists Syed Farook and Tashfeen Malik gunned down 14 people, including Sierra Clayborn, 27, a black woman with a “blooming career.” In a December 17 statement, and a statement one year later, Kamala Harris failed to name a single victim, failed to condemn the terrorists, and did not even call the mass murder an case of gun violence.
This is the woman the half-white resident of Martha’s Vineyard wants all black men to vote for as a matter of duty. As November 5 approaches, Americans of all skin shades have plenty to ponder.
