Billionaire Kamala Harris backer Mark Cuban denied a report that he said the Democrat nominee chickened out of a live X interview with Elon Musk.
In a hellish two weeks of bad publicity, the last thing that the Democrat nominee needed was one of her most high-profile surrogates further contributing to the perception that she’s ducking real interviews in favor of friendly forums where she’ll be coddled and not made to answer tough questions.
On Monday, The Hill reported that the “Shark Tank” personality and NBA owner revealed that the Harris campaign refused to engage in the interview with the billionaire Tesla/SpaceX CEO that would have drawn a massive audience and that they “didn’t trust the fact that [Musk] wouldn’t go on X and just say something to distort the purpose of the meeting.”

Harris has done one real interview with Fox News anchor Bret Baier and it was a roaring dumpster fire for the evasive and defensive veep. A live conversation with Musk would have the potential to be exponentially worse, especially if she was confronted over her support for censoring and punishing him over allowing free speech on the platform.
Musk expressed his enthusiasm for a live interview with Harris in a post to X.
I’m happy to have a live discussion, so there can’t be any “distortion”
That would be so awesome. Please can we do this . Pretty please.

Cuban rejected The Hill’s reporting of his remarks on CNBC’s “Squawk Box” and claimed they were misinterpreted by the outlet.
No. That is not what I said. I said that I asked them if they would be interested in talking to elon. They said they would, but they didn’t trust him not to disclose on X, what was said https://t.co/pTsWpF3Viq

“No. That is not what I said. I said that I asked them if they would be interested in talking to Elon. They said they would, but they didn’t trust him not to disclose on X, what was said,” he wrote on X.
He also replied to Musk, asking if he’d be interested in a “private meeting” with Harris if she ends up in the White House, also walking back his use of words suggesting that the X owner would distort her remarks.
Wrong choice of words on my part.. Happens during a live interview.. Better choice would have been “disclosure”
Would you like to do a private meeting if she wins ? https://t.co/tHh4ZVHwTO— Mark Cuban (@mcuban) October 21, 2024
Musk has been very vocal in his support for former President Donald J. Trump, warning Americans of the existential threat of a Harris regime, and has warned that 2024 could be the last real election if Democrats retain power and continue to flood the country with illegal aliens.
Very few Americans realize that, if Trump is NOT elected, this will be the last election. Far from being a threat to democracy, he is the only way to save it!
Let me explain: if even 1 in 20 illegals become citizens per year, something that the Democrats are expediting as fast… https://t.co/u3HBdd5Bv0

The world’s richest man also mocked his fellow billionaire, suggesting that there was little physical difference between him and MSNBC’s lesbian conspiracy queen Rachel Maddow.
“Mark Cuban and Rachel Maddow are the same person. Don’t believe conspiracy theorists who claim otherwise!” Musk wrote on X last week, mocking the filthy rich Harris mouthpiece.
