With 15 days to go before Election Day, the Kamala Harris campaign has no plans for President Joe Biden to join the Democratic nominee for the home stretch run.

That’s according to NBC News, which cited three Harris campaign officials and three White House officials — the network’s reporting suggested the decision was part of a strategy coordinated between the two camps.

“Instead, Biden plans to try to help Harris this week by privately leveraging some of his longtime political relationships, specifically with labor leaders, and holding official White House events that highlight his administration’s record, officials said,” NBC News reported. “The strategy was crafted with coordination between Harris and Biden aides, who believe at this time that ‘the most important role he can play is doing his job as president,’ said one of the White House officials who, like others in this piece, was granted anonymity to speak candidly.”

The resulting snub was tactically described as a “tailored” role by one Harris campaign official. It also comes amid recent reporting of Biden being resentful that he was forced out in favor of Harris and doing subtle things to undermine her presidential bid. In addition to donning a Trump 2024 hat after speaking with Shanksville, Pennsylvania, firefighters on 9/11, Biden stepped all over a Harris line of attack against Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for not taking her calls earlier this month, offering high praise for the Republican governor’s response to recent hurricanes.

Kamala Harris has been trying to sell herself as an agent of change, though she has struggled on several occasions to spell out what she would do differently than Biden.

The last time Biden appeared with Harris at a campaign event was back on Labor Day, nearly seven weeks ago. Meanwhile, former Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton have been actively stumping for Biden’s replacement.

With Harris seemingly collapsing in the polls, the campaign is desperately throwing everything but the kitchen sink at Donald Trump, accusing him of being a fascist and even claiming that his age is a factor, suggesting he is slowing down and beginning to struggle with his mental acuity. It’s a tactic that would collapse the first time Biden opens his mouth should he appear on the stump for the Dem nominee.

Some social media users suggested that perhaps it was Biden refusing to campaign with Harris and her campaign is trying to spin that as their decision.
