Democrat nominee Kamala Harris is rolling out the stars as she enters the final stretch of her unexpected White House campaign but she may wish she hadn’t invited Lizzo to make her case.

On Saturday, the slimmed-down pop diva whose real name is Melissa Viviane Jefferson joined the vice president at a rally in Detroit and proudly boasted that if Kamala ends up in the White House, she will make the entire country just like Motown.

When it comes to sales pitches, it’s hard to imagine a worse one than a vision of a future America that mirrors the impoverished, crime-ridden hellhole, a prime example of a once-great city that has been thoroughly decimated by decades of Democrat rule.

“I’m so proud to be from this city, you know they say if Kamala wins then the whole country will be like Detroit,” pledged the Motor City native.

“Proud like Detroit, resilient like Detroit. The same Detroit that innovated the auto industry and the music industry. Put some respect on Detroit’s name,” Lizzo added.

It may have been music to the ears of those in the audience and the legions of Kamala-bots but X users were quick to suggest that perhaps vowing to transform all of America into Detroit may not be a convincing argument for putting Harris into the Oval Office.

The desperate and flailing Harris sought to rub raw the sores of discontent by wearing a black t-shirt reading “Detroit vs Everybody” playing on the emotional grievances of the crowd over recent remarks by Donald J. Trump about the once-proud manufacturing powerhouse.

“We stand for the idea that the true measure of the strength of a leader is not based on who you beat down, it’s on who you lift up,” she said during her very brief speech, calling on the “people of Detroit” to bring their “grit” and “excellence” to her campaign.

“He spends full time talking about himself and mythical characters, not talking about the working people, not talking about you, not talking about lifting you up,” she said.

“Our whole country will end up being like Detroit if she’s your President. You’re going to have a mess on your hands,” Trump said earlier this month.
