A new study exposed how, under the “border czar,” loopholes for illegal aliens threatened to overrun hospitals and leave American taxpayers on the hook for billions of dollars.

Throughout 2024, the Biden-Harris administration and their complicit corporate media talking heads attempted to gaslight the public that fault for the border crisis was not with open border policies and facilitating executive orders, but somehow with congressional Republicans.

Now, according to a study from the Foundation for Government Accountability that looked at only nine states that responded to their inquiry, just prior to and through Vice President Kamala Harris’ tenure, illegal alien enrollment in Medicaid ballooned by around 500%.

“Nationwide, taxpayers could soon be paying tens of billions of dollars on health care for people who have no right to our safety net–including those who have no right to be in the country,” FGA data and analytics director Hayden Dublois stated in writing for Fox News.

With responses from states like Arizona, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Pennsylvania, Texas and Wisconsin, the study found the five-fold spike from 2019 to 2023 also cost taxpayers 550% more in five of the states that shared their financial information.

Now, matters were expected to get worse as FGA’s study explained as of June the Biden-Harris administration had neutered the verification systems for Medicaid and Social Security. Illegal aliens would be able to circumvent citizenship checks thanks in part to a 90-day grace period to obtain the documents needed for verification. The Department of Health and Human Services now prohibits states from denying extension requests of the grace period if a good faith attempt is made to “prove citizenship.”

Additionally, the Biden-Harris administration ordered Social Security to cease sending “no match” letters to businesses in 2021. Those letters alerted employers to the potential non-citizen status of workers who didn’t show up in the Social Security system matching IRS W-2 forms.

“All of health care will suffer, too,” expressed Dublois. “Medicaid pays much less than private insurance, so burdening hospitals with illegal aliens will lead to mounting red ink. Some hospitals have already closed, especially in states that expanded Medicaid under ObamaCare, and covering illegal aliens will likely cause more to follow suit.”

Already, California was spending roughly $4 billion annually to extend Medicaid coverage to illegal aliens, according to the FGA.

By contrast, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ (R) direction for Medicaid-accepting hospitals to check patients’ immigration status led to a 54% drop in Medicaid spending on emergency health care to illegal aliens as of June.

With estimates of more than 21 million non-citizens residing in the country being eligible for emergency Medicaid, Dublois contended of the expansion, “This is surely the biggest handout to illegal aliens in American history. As the word spreads, it may encourage an even bigger rush at the southern border. After watching the Biden-Harris administration lay the groundwork for this crisis over the past four years, Americans would be wise to ask: Is this actually what Kamala Harris wants?”

While social media users couldn’t speak for the vice president, they certainly spoke for themselves as they slammed the policy moves as disastrous and, by some arguments, treasonous.
