“A mind is a terrible thing to waste.” 

The famous advertising slogan was first used in 1977 by the United Negro College Fund (UNCF) to encourage people to support higher education for black Americans. As I began this article, another truism occurred to me.

A Trump Derangement Syndrome-riddled mind might be a terrible affliction, but it’s also hilarious.

No one better exemplifies stage 4 TDS than Michael Cohen, a former personal attorney for former President Donald Trump. The ever-bitter Cohen was trotted out Thursday on MSNBC’s “Deadline” to once again demonstrate that he’s lost his mind — at least to the point of all things Trump.

How bad was it? With a straight face, Cohen predicted that if Trump wins the election, he will “get rid of the judiciary and get rid of the Congress.” Yeah.

While still hawking his 2020 “Disloyal: A Memoir: The True Story of the Former Personal Attorney to President Donald J. Trump,” Cohen said (emphasis, mine) Trump was afraid of the book.

This was about my book. He was afraid that the book, “Disloyal,” was critical of him and didn’t want it published. So they created a fraudulent document to have me sign that completely impeded my First Amendment Constitutional right. When I refused to sign the document, they asked me to wait in the hallway. I did. 

An hour later three of the biggest marshals you have seen in your life showed up, handcuffed, shackled me, put me in a freezer and sent me back to solitary confinement in Otisville for another 16 days until ultimately my lawyer had me released on a habeas corpus petition. 

The problem is that petition is no longer valid if in fact Trump wins, and he does exactly what he says he will do, rewrite the Constitution. And he is going to destroy our tripartite system, get rid of the judiciary and get rid of the Congress.

Man. The lady geniuses on ABC’s “The View” ain’t got nothin’ on this guy.

Cohen then tried to kick it up a notch or two, claiming America under a second Trump presidency would be worse than Vladimir Putin’s Russia, Saudi Arabia, Communist China, and North Korea under nutjob dictator Kim Jong Un.

I can’t believe this is the America that we are talking about. This is something you see in Russia. This is something you see in Saudi Arabia, something you see in North Korea, in China. You don’t see this in the United States of America. But guess what? We do. That’s the type of government that this man is going to run. Especially when he turns around and says he wants loyalty oaths taken and given to him by every single person in his administration. There will be no guardrails.

TDS-riddled loons like Michael Cohen, Keith Olbermann, Joy Behar, Joe Scarborough, and Sunny Hostin will likely allow Trump to live rent-free in their pickled brains for the rest of their bitter lives.
