Vice President Kamala Harris had a curt response to a reporter’s question about how her interview went with Fox News anchor Bret Baier.
“How was the interview?” a reporter called out as Harris made her way to Air Force Two following the sit-down with Baier, which took place in the battleground state of Pennsylvania.
“It was good,” Harris said as she hurried to board her plane.

Several X users responded to the VP’s assessment of her performance, which was marred by sparring with Baier and her refusal to respond directly to specific questions about her job performance as the nation’s second-in-command.

At one point during the nearly 30-minute interview, Baier challenged Harris over her assessment of her GOP opponent, former President Donald Trump, as being “unfit” for office, asking her repeatedly when she noticed that President Joe Biden was in steep mental decline.
“You told many interviewers that Joe Biden was on his game, that ran around circles on his staff. When did you first notice that President Biden’s mental faculties appeared diminished?” Baier asked.
Harris paused, then said: “Joe Biden, I have watched from the Oval Office to the Situation Room, and he has the judgment and the experience to do exactly what he has done in making very important decisions on behalf of the American people.”
“There were no concerns raised?” Baier followed.
“Bret, Joe Biden is not on the ballot… and Donald Trump is,” Harris responded.
The “Special Report” anchor referenced remarks made by actor George Clooney, who stated in the now-infamous New York Times op-ed that the president wasn’t the same Joe Biden he once knew after spending time with him at a fundraiser earlier this year.
“You met with him at least once a week for three-and-a-half years. You didn’t have any concerns?” Baier pressed.
“I think the American people have a concern about Donald Trump,” Harris replied. “Which is why the people who know him best, including leaders of our national security community, have all spoken out, even people who worked for him in the Oval Office, worked with him in the Situation Room, and have said he is unfit and dangerous and should never be President of the United States again, including his former vice president, which is why the job was open for him to choose another running mate. So that is a fact. That is a fact.”
Critics of President Biden have consistently questioned his mental acuity throughout his presidency, a claim that has been firmly rejected by Democrats and members of the mainstream media.
However, the narrative shifted dramatically following Biden’s poor performance in the CNN presidential debate against former President Trump, leading to his abrupt exit from the 2024 race and the sudden rise of Harris at the top of the Democratic ticket.
Meanwhile, the vice president has gone 88 days as the official Democratic nominee for president without holding a formal press conference.
“Trump has held six news conferences where he took questions from the media since the beginning of August, including another this month after meeting with Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp about hurricane relief efforts,” Fox News noted.
