In 2020, Mark Zuckerberg said “that Facebook shouldn’t be the arbiter of truth of everything that people say online.” But that didn’t make a difference because the company censored content as if they were.

In 2024, Zuckerberg admitted that the White House “pressured” the company “for months to censor certain COVID-19 content, including humor and satire.” However, he claims this “was wrong” and that he “regrets” that they “were not more outspoken about it.”

So it’s a bit weird that he regrets all of that, but the company continues to do more of the same.

Meta Senior Software Engineer, Jeevan Gyawali admitted that Facebook “automatically demotes” posts critical of Kamala and that the company finds this sin so abhorrent, that the original poster becomes “red-listed,” or “shadow banned,” if you will.

Now tell us something we don’t know.

According to James O’Keefe:

“Say your uncle in Ohio said something about Kamala Harris is unfit to be a president because she doesn’t have a child, that kind of sh*t is automatically demoted,” reveals @Meta Senior Software Engineer, Jeevan Gyawali ( @JGyawali ), to an undercover @OKeefeMedia journalist during a hidden camera date. He confirmed, “The person would not be notified,” but would see a decline in their post engagement and impressions, explaining that Meta’s “Integrity Team” is responsible for controlling content through “civic classifiers,” a system that “shadowbans” posts without notifying users.

Gyawali also revealed a specialized Special Weapons And Tactics (SWAT) team that was created at Meta, stating, “There is a SWAT team that’s already set up since April… just to think about all the scenarios of how the platform could be abused.” When asked if Meta is doing their due diligence to protect democracy from disinformation, Gyawali ensured “that’s all going to be demoted 100%.”

Gyawali also confirmed that he believes this can swing the election. And I don’t know about you, but I am pretty sure that Big Tech Monopolies were never intended to have this power.

Do you think it’s a coincidence they coined the term “red-listed” for people critical of Kamala, considering most of those people will likely lean right? It also seems a bit ironic that censored posts somehow solely benefit the Democrats, but again, that’s just a coincidence.

According to Wikipedia, “Election interference generally refers to efforts to change the outcome of an election.” Unclear what you would call this but if the shoe fits, it fits.
