Laura and Basil Yorio of Palm Coast, Florida, never expected this to happen after their home got slammed by a hurricane.

After Hurricane Milton passed last week, Laura said she took their dog outside after returning home and noticed something strange glittering in the grass.

When she picked it up to take a closer look, she realized it was her husband’s wedding ring, which had been lost a decade ago.

Basil Yorio lost the ring during a home construction project and was never able to find it, even after years of looking.

But the rains from Hurricane Milton brought the long-lost band to the surface.

The couple was hesitant to share their happy ending in the aftermath of the hurricane, with Laura telling Fox 35 Orlando,

We’re very mindful that a lot of people are going through terrible things, and I feel almost a little guilty feeling happy about all of this, but it was something good.

My two cents?
