Columbia University banned Professor Shai Davidai from campus over allegations that he was harassing school officials and clashing with anti-Israel protesters.

Columbia sent Davidai’s lawyer a letter that said he would not be able to access the campus after 3 p.m. on Tuesday.

Officials at the university claimed that Davidai harassed them in violation of the school’s policies, according to The New York Post.

He will still be able to advise students remotely.

Davidai posted videos of himself on social media calling for anti-Israel protesters to be “reined in,” according to the outlet. He further said that the university was not doing enough to protect Jewish students.

“There are professors who either participated in or taught in the encampment,” he said, according to The Post. “Not a single professor has been fired or suspended since October 7 for antisemitism and support of terrorism.”
