Harkening back to the Gipper, actor Dennis Quaid’s support for former President Donald Trump had him pose a new question to tens of thousands in California: “the Constitution or…TikTok?”

Efforts at unifying the nation found Trump rallying in the blue state stronghold that hadn’t favored a Republican nominee since then-Vice President George H.W. Bush in 1988. Joining the Coachella, California event in the once-Golden State, Quaid invoked President Ronald Reagan with a powerful message that “it’s time to pick a side.”

Drawing parallels between the Biden-Harris administrations policy failures and the malaise that reigned throughout President Jimmy Carter’s single term, the actor who played the conservative icon in the film “Reagan” stirred rally-goers like Dutch had with the “Morning in America” message

“Hello, everybody. God bless you. God bless America. I’m here today to tell you that it’s time to pick a side,” Quaid said as he took the stage wearing a Tunnels for Towers t-shirt and a Make America Great Again hat. “Are we gonna be a nation that stands for the Constitution or for TikTok?”

“Are we gonna be a nation of law and order, or wide open borders? Which is it? Because it’s time to pick a side,” he asserted.

The actor had come out in support for Trump earlier this year and readily explained how inflation, the Middle East hostage crisis and threats posed by nation’s abroad required a return to peace through strength.

“You know, I’m an actor and I just had this movie come out that’s — it was a famous last name: Reagan. My favorite president of the 20th century. And it’s amazing how the issues of the 1980 election are very similar to what they are today,” he expressed.

“We were a nation in decline. That’s what they told us. Ronald Reagan came along and said, no, we’re not a nation in decline. We’re going there,” said Quaid pointing up and away, “and we followed him. The same with Trump — with President Trump, my favorite president of the 21st century.”

“Are you better off now then you were four years ago?” came the question Reagan had stitched into the fabric of American politics when he’d debated Carter. “Today, [Russian President Vladimir] Putin is making money hand over fist selling oil that he uses to pay for his Soviet-style comeback war that he has with Ukraine.”

Reminding that the Biden-Harris administration’s turn from energy independence had left the nation “begging” Saudi Arabia and Venezuela for oil, the Golden Globe nominee stated, “Today, all you gotta do is go to the grocery store, go to the gas station, go to the department store; there’s evidence enough right there that we know that, that fairy tale called Harris-Bidenomics just doesn’t work.”

He further brought up the Abraham Accords, Trump’s negotiating with Afghanistan prior to Biden’s botched withdrawal and the contrast between hamstringing Iran under the previous administration compared to the current White House residents allowing the Islamist regime to flourish before he turned to the border crisis.

“But I guess it’s like voter ID,” Quaid snarked over national security, “you don’t need it in this country for some reason.”

Before closing, the actor detailed how his housekeeper had been in the country illegally for 10 years and was worried Trump would see her deported. Quaid explained how he told her the president wants to see the legal process used, that he himself had sponsored her for a green card, and that “she so wants to get her citizenship before — so she can vote for Donald Trump.”
