Bob Woodward’s allegations about exchanges between then-President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin had the Kremlin contending what was fact and what was fiction.

Despite the onetime KGB officer’s outspoken favor for Vice President Kamala Harris and the repeatedly debunked claims accusing the GOP leader of Russian collusion, another wave of “Russia, Russia, Russia,” landed just in time for the election.

Hardly an October surprise, a well-timed book release from Woodward, famed for his reporting on Watergate, accused Trump of aiding Putin with COVID tests at the onset of hysteria in addition to remaining in touch after the end of his administration.

Responding to the claims made in the forthcoming book, “War,” Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said in a written response to Bloomberg News regarding the COVID supplies, “We also sent equipment at the beginning of the pandemic.”

“But about the phone calls — it’s not true,” asserted Peskov.

Russia wasn’t alone in responding to the allegations that, like the Steele Dossier in 2016 and the letter from 51 former intelligence officials claiming Hunter Biden’s laptop was Russian disinformation in 2020, attempted to link the Kremlin to Trump.

Reacting to the allegations, Trump campaign Communications Director Steven Cheung released a statement slamming the honorific associate editor of the Washington Post:

“None of these made-up stories by Bob Woodward are true and are the work of a truly demented and deranged man who suffers from a debilitating case of Trump Derangement Syndrome. Woodward is an angry, little man and is clearly upset because President Trump is successfully suing him because of the unauthorized publishing of recordings he made previously. President Trump gave him absolutely no access for this trash book that either belongs in the bargain bin of the fiction section of a discount bookstore or used as toilet tissue. Woodward is a total sleazebag who has lost it mentally, and he’s slow, lethargic, incompetent, and overall a boring person with no personality.”

Further, Trump told ABC News Chief Washington Correspondent Jonathan Karl concerning the alleged calls, “That’s false.”

The GOP leader said of Woodward, “He’s a storyteller. A bad one. And he’s lost his marbles.”

Meanwhile, Harris and The Science™ devotee Howard Stern used the story to demonize Trump when people were “scrambling to get these kits.”

“And this guy who is president of the United States is sending them to Russia, to a murderous dictator, for his personal use?” Harris said as well as “I believe that Donald Trump has this desire to be a dictator. He admires strong men, and he gets played by them because he thinks that they’re his friends and they are manipulating him full-time, and manipulating him by flattery and with favor.”

Putin’s own favor for the vice president to win the election was reported after President Joe Biden had dropped out, “I told you our favorite, if you can call it that, was the current President Mr. Biden. He was removed from the race, but he recommended all his supporters to support Ms. Harris. So we will do the same. We will support her.”
