Tucker Carlson sat down with Elon Musk for a wide-ranging interview that aired Monday and they had a humorous exchange about the impact on Musk if the American people make the monumental mistake of electing Kamala Harris as president.

Prior to discussing the fact that the Tesla CEO is all in on Donald Trump and his efforts in providing Starlink, a satellite Internet constellation owned by Musk’s SpaceX, to storm victims in North Carolina and Tennessee, Carlson prompted a hearty laugh from his guest when he said, “If Trump loses… you’re f*cked, dude.”

“If he loses, I’m f*cked,” Musk heartedly agreed.

“It does seem that way,” Carlson added, prompting Musk to joke, “How long do you think my prison sentence is going to be? Will I see my children? I don’t know.”

And while the exchange was funny and they were laughing, it’s no laughing matter that there may very well be some truth to the assertion. Democrats have set an ugly precedent in their relentless persecution of Donald Trump and, much like a third-world country, there’s a very real chance that political enemies may be up against the entire weight of the federal government under a Democratic administration.

That begins with the FBI and any number of other three-letter agencies in DC and doesn’t require that an actual crime take place. If they want you bad enough, they will create an offense out of whole cloth, or change laws to create an avenue of approach. And Elon Musk’s full-throated endorsement of Trump would certainly qualify.

“If she wins, how can they let X continue in its current form, in its current role in American society?” Carlson asked Musk about the possibility of Harris defeating Trump in November.

“They won’t,” Musk responded. “They will try to shut it down by any means possible.”

Musk has been very vocal in his support of Trump, insisting that the 2024 election may be the last real election in America if Trump loses.

“This is the first time I have been active in an election because I believe the fate of America hangs in the balance,” Musk posted on X last month.

He also joined Trump in his historic return to Butler, Pennsylvania, the site where the former president nearly lost his life to a would-be assassin. Musk declared from the stage, “I’m dark MAGA!”

“As you can see, I’m not just MAGA, I’m dark MAGA,” he added. “The true test of someone’s character is how they behave under fire. And we had one president who couldn’t climb a flight of stairs and another who was fist-pumping after getting shot. Fight! Fight! Fight! Blood coming down the face.”

Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on Musk’s free speech platform:
