Is Hilary unaware that the First Amendment was intended to restrict the government, not the people? If she is aware then her recent comments prove why Freedom of Speech is essential for a free society, and the left hates nothing more than that.

Hilary Clinton is concerned that the Dems will “lose total control” if social media platforms don’t start regulating Americans’ speech.

According to Fox News:

Clinton told CNN host Michael Smerconish that while there have been some steps taken at the state level to regulate social media, she wants to see more done by the federal government to moderate content.

“We can look at the state of California, the state of New York, I think some other states have also taken action,” Clinton said. “But we need national action, and sadly, our Congress has been dysfunctional when it comes to addressing these threats to our children.”

Did someone not tell her that California’s parody law was stuck down for being blatantly unconstitutional?

Clinton said she believes the issue should be “at the top of every legislative political agenda” and called for the repealing of Section 230 of the Communications Act, which protects online platforms from being held liable for third-party content, such as user content on social media. This immunity applies to the content itself and the removal of content in certain circumstances.

She doesn’t even pretend to care that to hide how tyrannical she really is but the worst part is that she believes this must be “the top of every legislative political agenda.” That means it should be put above the needs of hurricane victims, Americans struggling to make ends meet, the alien invasion, and just about everything else that actually matters to people.

So while she couldn’t care less about the little guy in middle America, she could care less about regulating your freedoms, as she believes this is the government’s most crucial concern.

“We should be, in my view, repealing something called Section 230, which gave, you know, platforms on the internet immunity because they were thought to be just pass-throughs, that they shouldn’t be judged for the content that is posted,” Clinton said.

“But we now know that that was an overly simple view, that if the platforms, whether it’s Facebook or Twitter/X or Instagram or TikTok, whatever they are, if they don’t moderate and monitor the content, we lose total control,” she continued. “And it’s not just the social and psychological affects, it’s real life.”

The worst part about Hilary going on TV and exposing how tyrannical her desires truly are is that we have to listen to an arrogant politician who cannot get over herself. The only thing worse than the government regulating what you can or cannot say is listening to her talk about it. And if anyone should be censored it’s her, as the only censorship permissible under the Bill of Rights is of the government.

The Constitution was never intended for the government to seek “control,” as the purpose was to ensure the opposite.
