Billionaire Twitter/X owner Elon Musk blasted the Biden-Harris administration on Friday for their mishandling of Hurricane Helene relief efforts.

In a tweet posted around noon, he revealed that engineers with his company SpaceX — which has been on the ground setting up Starlink devices for affected communities — were being blocked in their efforts by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

As proof, he cited a note he received from one of his engineers.

“Hey Elon, update here on site of Asheville, NC,” the note read. “We have powered up two large operating bases for choppers to deliver goods into hands. We’ve deployed 300+ starlinks and outpour is it has saved many lives.”

“The big issue is FEMA is actively blocking shipments and seizing goods and services locally and locking them away to state they are their own. It’s very real and scary how much they have taken control to stop people helping. We are blocked now on the shipments of new starlinks coming in until we get an escort from the fire dept. but that may not be enough,” it continued.

In another tweet posted shortly thereafter, Musk shared another note he’d received from his engineers. This one further confirmed that FEMA was outright blocking their efforts.

Look:

“They are now about to shut down the Air space to ‘regulate’ the private choppers we are riding in to deliver Starlink and supplies,” the note read. “We are pushing back with Trump team as well to help us, but not looking good. We need help to get word out about FEMA, we spoke with Ivanka and handed out Starlinks with her yesterday, but FEMA then showed up and started blocking us.”

“The largest concern for us here is the FAA throttling flights for our choppers, where they are requiring To/from information and mission now to deliver a discrete code. Doing this takes a long time and very cumbersome to the ops. This is the largest concern and most help we could use,” it continued.

In a third and final tweet posted late Friday afternoon, Musk posted video footage of the devastation in North Carolina and expressed anger over FEMA’s “unconscionable” actions.

Look:

“They just took this video a few hours ago, where you can see the level of devastation: roads, houses, electricity, water supply and ground Internet connections completely destroyed,” he wrote in the tweet. “@FEMA wouldn’t let them land to deliver critical supplies … my blood is boiling.”

Around this time Friday afternoon, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg evidently got word of the issues, because he deemed it necessary to post a tweet ostensibly debunking SpaceX’s concerns.

“No one is shutting down the airspace and FAA doesn’t block legitimate rescue and recovery flights,” he tweeted. “If you’re encountering a problem give me a call.”

This tweet prompted a flurry of fact-checking clapbacks from Musk.

But to Buttigieg’s credit, he eventually did get in touch with Musk, after which the two were apparently able to resolve the issue.

“Thanks for helping simplify the FAA NOTAM,” Musk tweeted at him late Friday. “Support flights are now underway. Much appreciated.”

“Glad we could address — thanks for engaging,” Buttigieg replied.

Look:

All is well that ends well, right? Not exactly. The corporate propaganda press has for their part glommed on to what Buttigieg originally wrote — his denial that anything was wrong — and are now using that tweet to portray Musk as a liar and conspiracy theorist.

Never mind that there obviously WAS something wrong, ergo why Buttigieg’s personal help was needed to resolve it.

Similarly, the corporate propaganda press has also been denying that FEMA spent millions of dollars on taking care of criminal aliens and is now unable to afford providing disaster relief for the remainder of the current hurricane season.
