Technical difficulties at a battleground state rally found the vice president not simply unwilling but seemingly “physically incapable of doing anything without a script.”

Friday in Flint, Michigan, Vice President Kamala Harris appeared to have found herself already unburdened by what had been little more than four weeks out from Election Day. In fact, amid reports of an alleged teleprompter failure, the wannabe president was caught struggling to get beyond how many days remained before Nov. 5.

“Remember this number: 32. Today, we’ve got 32 days until the election,” Harris giddily told the crowd, serving up a clipped rendition of her trademark cackle before a long pause bearing an expression of discomfort appeared to mark a moment of resignation that she had no idea what came next.

Former President Donald Trump’s campaign shared the “Humiliating” moment on X and commented, “Kamala’s teleprompter briefly went out at the beginning of her speech — you can tell the exact moment it happened. She had absolutely no idea what to do or say.”

After a nearly ten-second pause and a deep breath, Harris’ attempt to recover played like a broken record as she began to repeat herself. “So 32 days. 32 days. Okay, we’ve got some business to do. We’ve got some business to do. Alright. 32 days, and we know we will do it. And — and, this is gonna be a very tight race until the very end. This is gonna be a very tight race until the very end.”

The pause alone was enough to stir social media reactions with captions and comparisons to one of President Joe Biden’s many brain freezes, including the suggestion from commentator Greg Price who wrote, “[That face when] your life flashes before your eyes because you’re physically incapable of doing anything without a script.”

Of course, it wasn’t merely the panic over how to proceed that struck many as they considered the implications of how she would react in a scenario where it wasn’t just her future on the line. There was also concern over how empty her suit truly was after more than two months on the campaign trail serving up the same recycled speech on repeat.

“She’s been giving the same speech everywhere,” said one user capturing the sentiments of many. “Shouldn’t she know what to say next at this point? Sheesh.”

When she did finally right the ship from repeating her 32 days mantra like a sales pitch for a self-help program, what she said next strained credulity given the routine assists from corporate media while others suspected it was a telling glimpse at “ATROCIOUS” internal polling that may well be showing Trump further ahead than the left was letting on.

“We are the underdog and we know we have some hard work ahead,” said Harris.
