CNN’s lone conservative commentator, Scott Jennings, suggested Friday that President Joe Biden is trying to sabotage Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign.

Jennings posted the suggestion to Twitter/X after Biden made his first-ever appearance in the White House press briefing room (since assuming office) at the exact time Harris was scheduled to speak at a campaign event.

Not only was the timing awfully strange, but so was what Biden said.

Listen:

After being asked a question, he basically connected Harris to all of his failed policy decisions, including FEMA’s disastrous response to Hurricane Helene.

“There have obviously been a number of crises that the country has been facing over the past several days with the hurricane, with port strike, with the situation in the Middle East,” a reporter said to him.

“Can you talk about how your vice president, who is running for the presidency, has worked on these crises and what role she has played over the past several days?” the reporter then asked.

“Well, she’s— I’m in constant contact with her,” the president replied. “She’s aware of where — we all — we’re singing from the same song sheet. We — she helped pass the l- — all the laws that are being employed now.”

She was a major player in everything we’ve done, including passage of legislation, which we were told we could never pass. And so, she’s been — and her — her staff is interlocked with mine in terms of all the things we’re doing,” he added.

Jennings was blown away by this reply.

“He is literally trying to destroy her campaign and it’s just incredible,” he tweeted Friday afternoon.

Fox News host Jesse Watters also took note of the president’s odd behavior.

“It was the first time Biden ever set foot in the briefing room as president,” he said on Fox News’ “Jesse Watters Primetime.” “The press was stunned. Peter Doocy’s wig fell off, and every channel in America cut straight to it.”

“And Kamala Harris was about to go on TV and take credit for ending the port strike. And Biden looked and said, oh no, you don’t and big-footed her. Biden wanted full credit. He’s a lame duck, but even lame ducks care about their legacy,” he added.

Listen:

He wasn’t done.

“If you’re the Harris campaign, it’s like Biden is haunting you from the grave,” Watters continued. “Since the coup, Biden hasn’t left his room for 43 days. He’s gone 43 days without anybody laying eyes on him. There’s a ghost in the White House. And in 15 minutes, that ghost spooked the Harris campaign.”

“Biden just said Kamala is responsible for the last four years. That is gonna hurt. Seeing Biden again brought back memories. Biden and the press were catching up on all of their favorite topics,” he added.
