You know that lefties are worried about the truth getting out when they pull out the “misinformation” sledgehammer.

Are they more worried about their reputation taking a hit than they are about rescue efforts??

They could be, you know, doing their job. But instead, it’s important to attack Americans and call them liars for … you know, reporting what they are hearing on the ground from victims and rescuers.

It’s “rumors” to talk about the $1 billion spent by FEMA to house illegals?

Here’s how they address one of the so-called “rumors” at their very helpful deboonking site:

Rumor: Funding for FEMA disaster response was diverted to support international efforts or border related issues.

Fact:

This is false. No money is being diverted from disaster response needs. FEMA’s disaster response efforts and individual assistance is funded through the Disaster Relief Fund, which is a dedicated fund for disaster efforts. Disaster Relief Fund money has not been diverted to other, non-disaster related efforts.

Notice the framing? It’s a strawman. No one is saying that money that would have been spent on Helene was taken and given to migrants instead.

The actual report, not a rumor, is that FEMA has spent over $1 billion in two years on illegal immigrants.

This fact is undeniably true. 👇

Next, we have the good old American Red Cross combatting not just rumors but scary “misinformation”!

MIS-IN-FOR-MA-TION!!!

Remember, “misinformation” is what the Left is pushing to ban because they don’t care about the First Amendment.

And “misinformation” is really just information that disagrees with the regime narrative.

Check out this long post the Red Cross made defending their honor (while hundreds die).

They could be, you know, coordinating relief efforts, asking for donations, or sharing photos and stories of those affected by the storm.

Instead, we get a long and stupid lecture from their HR/PR department about how awesome they are and how evil all the poor people in North Carolina are.

I mean…

They went out of their way to call the people they supposedly want to help liars. And why? Because it may hurt their bottom line?

This lady is a liar then? 👇

I trust my average-Joe neighbor much more than the government or NGOs that are in “cover-your-butt” mode.
