Former President Trump launched a GoFundMe campaign to help the victims of Hurricane Helene and the effort has raised more than $3.7 million as of this writing.

“President Donald J. Trump has launched this GoFundMe campaign as an official response for MAGA supporters to offer their financial assistance to their fellow Americans impacted by Hurricane Helene,” the GoFundMe page reads. “With so many across the Southeastern U.S. facing challenges after the storm, President Trump is on the ground in communities to see the aftermath firsthand. All donations will be directed to help those most affected by Hurricane Helene. Any level of generosity will go a long way for your fellow Americans who are suffering.”

Trump visited Georgia on Monday to tour storm damage and express his support for those impacted — there have been over 100 fatalities. overall.

Meanwhile, President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris posed for photo-ops and touted their attendance at updates on the storm damage across the Southeast, with the president telling reporters he spent “at least two hours” on the phone “commanding” the response.

“I was commanding it,” the cognitively challenged 81-year-old president said. “I was on the phone for at least two hours yesterday and the day before as well. I command it. It’s called a telephone and all my security people.”

Par for the course, Kamala read some scripted remarks at a FEMA update and bolted from the room without taking questions from reporters.

Biden and Harris, the Democratic nominee, did not get vocal about the impact of Helena until four days after the storm pushed through Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee, leaving a large swath of flooding and destruction in its wake, responding after an outcry over their absence. Biden spent the weekend at his beach house in Delaware, while Harris was fundraising with entitled Hollywood celebrities.

While Trump was actively engaged, Biden announced his own visit while speaking from the Oval Office on Monday.

“I’m going to North Carolina on Wednesday. It’s planned now. We’re going to be landing in Raleigh for a meeting with the Emergency Operations Center, and I’ll then do an aerial tour,” he said.

Top donors include real estate investor Steve Witkoff and former Georgia Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R), who donated $500,000 each. Bass Pro Shops, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White, and billionaire Bill Ackman all donated $100,000 each. Kid Rock also pitched in $20,000.
