At least nine Israeli citizens were wounded Tuesday in an apparent terrorist attack in Jaffa, a neighborhood in Tel Aviv, Israel.

The shooting attack broke out near a light rail station in the city and critically wounded at least four people, The Jersusalem Post reported.

Two terrorists were observed on site and were killed by police officers.

The attack came as Iran began firing missiles in retaliation for Israel’s strikes on its proxy group Hezbollah in recent days which killed the group’s leader, Hassan Nasrallah in Beirut, Lebanon.

In the early morning hours, Israel also began a ground incursion into Lebanon to fight Hezbollah and dismantle its local infrastructure.
