A poll conducted by CBS News of registered voters in Georgia showed that more of them consider Vice President Kamala Harris a “threat to democracy” than think the same of former President Donald Trump.

The poll was conducted in Georgia the week after the presidential debate in September between Trump and Harris.

A question the voters were asked was, “If Harris wins, do you think her policies would make U.S. democracy…stronger or weaker?”

Forty-five percent of voters said that a Harris presidency would make democracy weaker while 42% said it would be stronger.

About 45% of those surveyed said that a second term in office for Trump would make democracy stronger, according to The Daily Wire.

The survey was conducted from Sep. 20-24 and surveyed 1,441 registered Georgia voters.

Fifty percent of the voters surveyed said that the GOP is the better option to keep the United States prosperous.

Another finding of the CBS poll was “among likely voters, including those leaning toward Harris or Trump,” that “if the 2024 presidential election were being held today between Harris and Trump” Trump would get 51% of the vote compared to 49% who said they would pick Harris.
