If Maricopa County intends to instill faith in its election, the least it can do is not make it so painfully easy for noncitizens to register to vote, whether or not that’s the intent.
A man in Maricopa was flabbergasted when he found out he was registered to vote, considering he’s not a citizen. What makes this even worse is that the county does not seem to care that a noncitizen was registered against his will. What makes this even more concerning is that footage released by the Oversight Project shows six non-citizens in Phoenix registered to vote in one apartment complex.
According to 12 News:
The man is speaking out after the Maricopa County Recorder’s Office found last week that a 20-year-old computer coding error didn’t report if 98,000 voters provided proof of citizenship when they registered. The man is concerned there could be more non-citizens registered to vote.
So they are calling this nothing more than an “error.” Government workers really need some accountability when making “errors” concerning “little” things like presidential elections. It’s not like Arizona was decided by 11,000 votes or something…..
69-year-old Leemans said in 2021 when he turned 65, he renewed his license online through the Arizona Motor Vehicle Department. He came to Arizona in the 1980s on a green card sponsored by his Belgium-based company. Years later, he transferred to a U.S.-based company that he is now sponsored by.
After he renewed his license, he received multiple curious items in the mail that led him to believe he had become a registered voter.
In emails provided by Leemans, he tried to inform elections officials of his eligibility to vote in 2022, shortly after receiving the first batch of voter materials. He again reached out to the Maricopa County Recorder’s Office last month to let them know he never willingly registered to vote and was concerned because he has continued to receive voting materials.
How many years and how many emails will it take before they fix this “error”?
If the left demands voters never question elections then the least they can do is make sure elections are not questionable. County staff may call this an “error” but this is not something that should be taken lightly, as the last thing this country needs is elections being conducted off of “errors.”
Let me guess, this is also an “error”?
So while major swing areas are conducting elections off of “errors,” Congress refused to pass the SAVE Act. You would think that the government would realize their job is to protect our freedoms and the last thing they would want is illegal voting but it does not seem as if anyone cares.
What’s worse is that county staff chalked this up to him “accidentally” clicking the citizen box. Even if that’s a possibility, why are they going off the honor system and making it so easy for these “errors” to occur?
That being said, none of this probably matters and I am sure this election will be the most secure in American history.
