Donna Kelce, mother of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, had nothing but positive things to say about her son’s whirlwind romance with pop star Taylor Swift.

Mrs. Kelce spoke to Page Six on Monday and explained why the relationship works.

“He’s a good guy. He really is. He’s good,” she said. “He’s kind, he’s generous, and from what I understand, so is she.”

Mama Kelce added that Travis and Taylor’s dating life is “kind of interesting” and that “I hope they’re having a good time.”

They’re definitely having a good time.

Some Fans Are Worried About The Taylor Swift Effect On Travis Kelce

A lot of fans are starting to wonder if the increasing spotlight on everything Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift do is starting to creep into his play on the field.

In three games played, he has just 8 catches for 69 yards and zero touchdowns. Worse, this is after he just signed a monster new contract.

His poor play prompted ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith to jab him about his pop star girlfriend.

“We were supposed to see more of Travis Kelce yesterday than we saw of her [Swift]. That’s not happening though,” Smith said after Kelce grabbed just one catch for five yards against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2.

“Come on now. Football season is here. Honeymoon’s over. Let’s handle our business, OK,” Smith chided.

It got so bad that a clip of Travis Kelce on the sidelines during a game that Taylor Swift skipped went viral, as the Chiefs tight end looked sad and forlorn.

Kelce In The Movies

It’s hard to decide what is sadder in that video clip, Travis Kelce or the haircut that rests atop his dome. Oh well, Donna Kelce is providing a positive take on him and Taylor Swift and his possible future in Hollywood.

When speaking at the premiere of Grotesquerie, a 10-episode drama series set to premiere on FX that features Travis in an undisclosed role before the haircut, his mother seemed thrilled.

“Oh, it’s so awesome. Just to be able to see your kids do what they absolutely love to do, and hopefully this is something he likes!” she said according to the outlet. “I know he wanted to try [acting], so we’ll see how it goes.”

It’s been reported that Kelce will have a role in the sequel to Happy Gilmore as well.

“I didn’t even know there was a job opening for Happy Gilmore 2, but if there is, I’ll be a […] extra,” Kelce told his brother Jason on their New Heights podcast.

In fact, Kelce admitted he was actively hunting for movie roles of any kind.

“I’ll do anything in the movie,” he said as a means to score a role. “I’ll be a part of it any way I possibly can.”

Chiefs fans are probably hoping he’ll do anything he can to return to form in week 4.

The three-time Super Bowl champ has also been announced to star in a buddy-cop comedy movie called Loose Cannons.
