It seems like the “glitches” always run in one direction, but let’s do a deep dive to see if this is worth the outrage.

Many people are reporting that “Harris 2024” or “Harris Walz 2024” is allowed on Coca-Cola’s site, but not “Trump 2024.”

The hubbub started when someone noticed that Coca Cola would allow you to write “Allah loves you” (or the name of any other deity), but not “Jesus loves you” on the cans.

Coca-Cola has apparently corrected that by banning Allah as well.

(But I can still get a Coke for the Hindu supreme god, Shiva!)

Here are the results as of 1:23 p.m. EST on September 25th when I tried to personalize cans using names from the 2024 presidential tickets:

Trump was a big no.

“Trump Vance” was also a no.

But “Vance 2024” was fine!

But “Harris Walz 2024” is fine.

Adding the grammatically correct hyphen was also allowed:

You can get it to say that Trump is either awesome or evil.

And you can say that Harris is evil too.

Did you know that Kamala grew up middle class?

“MAGA” is not allowed.

But “libtard” is!!

I agree that discrimination against the right-wing is baked into the cake when it comes to computer coding and algorithms. When databases are compiled and language models are built, much of the data is tainted by developers who believe that their narrow, left-wing ideology of the early 21st-century is the gospel truth.

As art reflects the artist, so too does the computer code reflect the 20-something UC Berkeley programmer who hates Western civilization, the family, and Christian morality with every fiber of his being.

But in this case?

I think it’s mostly a huge

Not every corporate glitch is a sign of impending communistic doom.

When you see something like this that is an affront to God in heaven above:

It is wise to stand against it with righteous anger.

But don’t give in to the ragebait.

As Jesus’s brother James said:

Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger, for human anger does not accomplish God’s righteousness.
