39-year-old Felix Delarosa was a wanted man in Lubbock, Texas. He had a warrant out for his arrest for violating his parole, and police tracked his location at a local Days Inn, where an anti-gang unit found him behind a locked door.

Delarosa fired a shot from within the room, which caused police to back off and call in the SWAT team. He fired a few more shots, one which was aimed directly at officers, so one of the boys in blue decided it was time to take a shot at Delarosa, and hit him.

He was not down for the count, however, so they decided to bring out the Lubbock Regional Bomb Squad Robot to help them bring Delarosa down.

This is where things got interesting. Delarosa tried a few tricks on the robot, like tossing a sheet over it to avoid being tear-gassed, and even shooting at the robot, but none of that worked to his advantage.

Check out how the robot eventually took him down:

Bro just got pinned down by a SWAT robot!!!

Officers were seen carrying him from the second story to the hotel’s parking lot where an ambulance was waiting.

He was taken to University Medical Center for his injuries then booked into the Lubbock County Detention Center.

His bond is set at $403,500.

Delarosa was charged afterwards with aggravated assault against a public servant.

Let it be noted that the deputy who returned fire when Delarosa shot at the officers has been placed on paid leave for firing that shot “per the department’s policy.”

Without that bullet hitting Delarosa, however, who knows what could’ve resulted here.

Either way, huge round of applause for that SWAT robot!!
