Fox News host Harris Faulkner cleverly crushed a false narrative that effectively blamed former President Donald Trump for inflation.

As Americans continue to struggle financially leading up to the 2024 presidential election, people are forced to determine whether Trump or Vice President Kamala Harris will be better for their pocketbooks. Perhaps this is why Democrats are trying their hardest to make it look like Trump was the driver behind sky-high inflation.

During a panel segment on Wednesday’s episode of The Faulkner Focus, former Democrat congressman Patrick Murphy was called out for using false inflation numbers to make it look like the economy has begun to heal under President Joe Biden.

“Alright let’s talk about this she [Harris], it’s been longer since she was announced than there are days until the election, and we know nothing more about her policies- the ones that really count- no economics,” Faulkner pointed out. “She’ll list a few things, the website is very lean, that sort of thing. But it doesn’t make news for its specificity.”

Murphy jumped in to bat for Harris.

“Well Harris, I think actions speak louder than words. The economy is moving in the right direction, not as fast as we would all like,” he said. “The stock market is over 40,000 points, it was 30,000 when they took office. Unemployment all-time record low. It was at 15% during the middle of COVID.”

“During the middle of COVID was before… okay,” Faulkner said.

” Listen it was 6.8% when Biden took office and it is now lower. No one’s spiked any footballs but I would say to you we have the Fed rate cut today which is positive after they raised it historically to make sure we had a soft landing,” Murphy continued.

“Well it’s been historically high,” the host mentioned. “They have to make history in bringing it down.”

“So, wait a minute, what did you say inflation was when Biden took over?” she asked Murphy.

“It was up high at 9%, it is now down to 3.2%,” the Democrat responded.

“No no, when he took over for Trump it was 1.4%,” Faulkner corrected him, making sure nobody was spreading misinformation on her program.

“Yeah but there was also $8 trillion in debt, though,” he said.

“I just want to make sure, because Biden says it was at 9% and I don’t want you to get confused with his false talking points,” the host chuckled.
