If former President Donald Trump wins the election in November, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. could lead the charge to rid federal agencies of “corrupt influences.”

The former Independent presidential candidate told Tucker Carlson that Trump had asked him to help “drain the swamp” if he won a second term, specifically naming the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

“President Trump has asked me specifically to do two things. One, to help unravel the capture of the agencies by corrupt influence. In other words, to drain the swamp. And, you know, I had to say something about President Trump,” Kennedy said Tuesday in Wisconsin on a stop with Carlson’s live tour.

“President Trump has many extraordinary gifts, and one of them is that he has very, very good instincts,” said Kennedy, who suspended his own presidential campaign and endorsed Trump, joining his transition team.

“And when he came out the first time, you remember, he was very against the lockdowns, publicly. He was for hydroxychloroquine. He was for alternative medicines. He was against the mass. But he was surrounded by bureaucrats and knowledgeable experts who ultimately pushed back on those assumptions and got us into some policies that, I think, were really bad for our country,” he continued. “He’s not going to do that again.”

“So I think that, and he’s asked me to do that, and he’s asked me to help him end the childhood disease, chronic disease epidemic, and make Americans healthy again,” the former Democrat said to applause.

Carlson asked how these goals could be achieved and Kennedy noted that it is, at present, unclear what his specific role would be.

“I don’t have a post for myself that’s picked out. I know that I’m going to be deeply involved in helping to choose the people who can run FDA and NIH and CDC in a way that restores public health rather than…” he said before Carlson interjected.

“Can you imagine if you’re at the FDA or the NIH and Bobby Kennedy walks in? They must be dying,” the host laughed.

“But I’ll bring in people to run those agencies like Calley Means, like [Dr.] Casey Means,” Kennedy continued, naming the brother-sister duo who are outspoken “Big Pharma” critics.

“You think they’re gonna… I mean, they have nightmares about that,” Carlson noted.

“Yeah, they should,” Kennedy replied. “Yeah, and they should.”
