Multnomah County’s Preschool for All program will add 174 slots in January to allow more families in the Portland-area to send their kids to preschool for free. The Multnomah County Commission on Thursday unanimously approved the mid-school-year shift, which will require the program to tap into $3.9 million from its contingency fund.
