Hillary Clinton “cut to the chase” about Vice President Kamala Harris, claiming that demands for her to elaborate on her policies are coming from sexists.

Speaking with host Kara Swisher on the “On with Kara Swisher” podcast, the failed Democratic presidential nominee was adamant that Harris does not owe voters elaborate explanations about her policy positions. Demanding that the Democrat nominee clarify her views in interviews was blasted as a “double standard” by Clinton who argued that it was due to resistance to a potential female president.

“She does not have to do it, Kara. I’m going to just cut to the chase,” Clinton told Swisher this week.

“In fact, she’s put out policies on her campaign website. Anybody who’s truly interested can go and read about them. She referenced policies. She actually doesn’t just have policies and concepts. She has plans about what to do,” Clinton said.

“I think it’s, um, you know, it’s a double standard, and it’s a double standard that is partly because they are still getting to know her. But also because they’re still grappling with the idea like, ‘Oh, am I really going to vote for a woman to be president and commander in chief?’” the former first lady continued.

“This is particularly true, let’s just say it and underline it, about White women [voters],” Clinton said.

Harris finally added a policy page to her campaign website earlier this month, weeks after taking over the top slot on the Democratic ticket following President Joe Biden ending his re-election bid.

Social media users ripped into Clinton’s assertions about Harris as a female presidential candidate and her excuses for avoiding interviews and elaborating on policies.
