I know we’re all on edge, but remember to take a deep breath from time to time.

On Wednesday morning around 10:45 a.m. EST, posts began circulating about “explosives” that were found near Trump’s rally on Long Island, New York this evening.

However, those reports were false.

From The Daily Mail:

A spokesperson for the Nassau County Police Department confirmed to DailyMail.com that ‘there was a suspicious occurrence’ on Wednesday ahead of Trump’s speech where thousands of MAGA fans are gathering.

But there is ‘no validity’ to a report that there was an ‘explosive device found.’

And PIX 11 in New York:

Reports of explosives at the Donald Trump rally on Long Island are completely unfounded, according to the Nassau County Police Department.

A person near the rally with a self-trained bomb-detecting dog falsely reported the threat, according to the department. The person was detained for questioning and the threat was determined unfounded, police said.

Because you may have missed the most important detail, let’s go over to how Nassau County Commissioner of Police Patrick Ryder described the dog:

Reports of explosives being found at the site are unfounded. There is a person who is being questioned who may have been training a bomb detection dog near the site. The individual with the bomb dog falsely reported explosives being found, and that individual is currently being detained by the police.

Nowhere does he say this was a police dog. He says “the individual with the bomb dog,” and the news reports say “self-trained bomb dog.”

Was this some dude who brought his own dog to the rally to “assist” police?? 😂

The rumor about the bomb reportedly took off when a One America News staffer posted about it … and that turned into full-blown bomb scare.

That kind of thing is why the lefties want to silence free speech. They don’t think we can tell fact from fiction.

But the crowd on X self-corrected in about about 20 minutes, which is far faster than your typical newsroom!

Trump’s NYC rally is set for tonight at 7 p.m. at the Nassau Coliseum on Long Island. Thousands of people are already lined up.
