Social media users ripped into Vice President Kamala Harris in the wake of a second assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump after an old “joke” she made resurfaced online.

A 2020 post from the Trump War Room account was shared again on X, featuring a video of Harris making an appearance on the “Ellen” show.

A senator at the time of the show in 2018, Harris made what she thought was a joke, followed by an exuberant cackle.

“If you had to be stuck in an elevator with either President Trump, Mike Pence, or Jeff Sessions, who would it be?” host Ellen DeGeneres asked Harris, reading from questions printed on cards.

“Does one of us have to come out alive?” Harris asked, breaking into hysterical laughter.

Harris was slammed at the time and the criticism continued each time the clip resurfaced. Even back in 2021, it was clear the left-wing media was carrying water for the Democrats as Newsweek ruled the claim that Harris joked about killing Trump as “mostly false.”

“Harris’ joke on The Ellen DeGeneres show did not explicitly specify killing Trump or Pence in an elevator if she had to be stuck with one of them,” the outlet declared.

But in the wake of a second assassination attempt on Trump, Harris’s laugh, her thought process, and the timing of the clip drew an immediate reaction on X.
