Former President Donald Trump’s campaign said on Thursday that, according to internal polling, he has surged past Vice President Kamala Harris.

The poll, conducted by Tony Fabrizio, one of the nation’s top pollsters and a key figure for the Trump campaign, targeted voters in the seven swing states where the outcome of the election is expected to be decided.

“Last night, we conducted a survey of 1,893 likely voters across our seven key target states,” a memo from the campaign said, according to The Daily Wire. “We found that despite the best efforts of Kamala Harris and media to portray the debate as some kind of overwhelming win for her, voters did not see it this way as support for her remained flat. The only change we saw was a 2-point bump for President Trump in both ballot configurations.”

“In last week’s data (pre-debate) from our surveys (N=5,600) across our seven target states, both the full and head-to-head ballots were split dead even,” the memo continued. “In our post-debate data, President Trump leads Vice President Harris by 2-points, 48% – 46%, and in the head-to-head ballot, he is up 3-points, 50% – 47%.”

In a ballot configuration that included all other candidates — Green Party’s Jill Stein, Independent Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Libertarian Chase Oliver, and Independent Cornel West — Trump gained two points after the debate, taking a 48-46 lead over Harris, who saw no change in her support.

In the head-to-head matchup between Trump and Harris, Trump gained three points following the debate, while Harris dropped one point. This shifted the race from a 48-48 tie before the debate to a 50-47 advantage for Trump afterward, the outlet said, citing the internal polling data.

“Clearly, target state voters were not impressed by Kamala Harris’ empty platitudes and while the media would have people believe she is cruising to victory, this couldn’t be farther from the truth,” the memo added.

Fox News host Jesse Watters revealed a big update on the 2024 presidential race during his Thursday evening prime-time show.

“Kamala is not Joe Biden, and yes, she is a woman, and there’s excitement around that. You should see my mom. Suddenly, she’s a Kamala fanatic. Keeps talking about joy,” he began during a show segment.

“Trump kept one dangerous woman out of the White House, and he can do it again. This country is thirsty for leadership after four years of Joe. And ‘Hideaway Harris’ isn’t going to fly. There is only so much bamboozling voters can tolerate. Especially after the cover-up and now the bait-and-switch. And you can sense in the room today, the press, thrilled they can justify their paychecks. Kamala Harris hasn’t held a press conference since 2023, and that wasn’t even in America. It was in Dubai. So Trump got the gang back together, room was packed. To use the left’s logo — ‘this is what democracy looks like,’” Watters continued.

He added, “Freedom of the press, freedom of speech, live exchanges of ideas without censorship. Voters listening to a man vying to represent him and serve them, unscripted, without cheat sheets and teleprompters. The media misses Trump. The relationship between the press and the politicians is supposed to be tense and challenging. With Biden and Kamala, it’s flaccid and corrupt. Everybody knows it. They were even up to their old tricks again.”
