Former President Donald Trump on Wednesday appeared to throw cold water on the prospect of participating in a second debate with Vice President Kamala Harris.

After declaring victory in the ABC News debate on Tuesday evening, Trump contended that there was little reason for him to face Harris again.

“In the World of Boxing or UFC, when a Fighter gets beaten or knocked out, they get up and scream, ‘I DEMAND A REMATCH, I DEMAND A REMATCH!'” he posted on Truth Social. “Well, it’s no different with a Debate. She was beaten badly last night. Every Poll has us WINNING, in one case, 92-8, so why would I do a Rematch?”

Trump had previously proposed two additional debates, though the Harris campaign did not agree to participate. After the Tuesday evening contest, they appeared to express openness to another showdown.

But Trump was ultimately satisfied with his performance, despite what he saw as a pile-on from the moderators.

“I thought that was my best Debate, EVER, especially since it was THREE ON ONE!” Trump posted.
