Simone Biles Stocks Up On Bears Gear After Being Shamed By Chicago Fans

Simone Biles is switching up her wardrobe a bit to placate football fans at Soldier Field.

The most decorated American gymnast in Olympic history, you may recall, raised the ire of Chicago Bears fans by sporting a Packers coat to a preseason game last month.

Biles is married to Bears safety Jonathan Owens – who played for the Packers last season.

TMZ Sports caught up to Biles outside the Global Summit on Women’s Mental Health and asked her about her Bears gear. She set the record straight and assured fans that the Packers jacket would be fading to the back of her closet.

“Yes, I have plenty [of Bears gear] now,” she said. “So, don’t you worry, guys!”

Simone Biles Is Embracing The Bears Wardrobe

Why was Simone Biles wearing a Packers jacket to a Bears game? Especially when her husband plays for the Windy City?

Simple. The jacket featured black and white images of Owens wearing a number 34 jersey. The problem was, that was his jersey number when he played for Chicago’s hated rival in Green Bay.

Bears fans understandably had a collective coronary over the treacherous move.

Fans on the socials were beside themselves, joking that she should be “stripped of all her medals” and that Owens should be ‘released’ for the egregious violation of courtesy.

She Had More Important Things To Worry About

Simone Biles at first leaned into the controversy by taunting Bears fans.

The 7-time Olympic gold medalist decided to tease them a little bit by posting photos of herself in the jacket … After the initial backlash!

She looked fabulous. But I’m sure Bears fans almost choked on their Polish sausage seeing her in a Packers jacket living it up in a suite at Soldier Field.

Thank goodness she settled the drama. In defense of Simone Biles, Owens only signed a two-year contract with the Chicago Bears just six months ago.

She might have had something slightly more pressing on her mind during that timeframe than buying a new jacket to stop whining Bears fans.

You know, a little something called training and prepping for the Olympics. Where she won three gold medals and a silver.

Biles recently hinted to fans what her future might hold regarding the 2028 Summer Olympics.
