More than 330,000 people have visited Taylor Swift’s custom link to a voting registration page less than 24 hours after she endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 election, the General Services Administration (GSA) noted on Wednesday.

Swift endorsed Harris after the presidential debate on Tuesday night, where Harris battled former President Donald Trump for the first time. Both sides have claimed victory in the debate.

A GSA spokesperson confirmed that at least 337,826 people had followed the custom link that Swift posted to her Instagram as of 2 p.m. Eastern, according to NBC News. The link sends users to vote.gov, which the GSA oversees. The website provides information on registering to vote in each state, and also provides information on the voting process.

Swift claimed on Tuesday that she supports Harris and her running mate Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz because she “did her research” and found that Harris aligns more with the “rights and causes” that she believes needs to be “championed.”

“I’ve done my research, and I’ve made my choice,” the superstar wrote in her post. “Your research is all yours to do, and the choice is yours to make. I also want to say, especially to first time voters: Remember that in order to vote, you have to be registered! I also find it’s much easier to vote early. I’ll link where to register and find early voting dates and info in my story.”

Some Republicans, including Vice Presidential candidate JD Vance, have downplayed Swift’s potential impact, but the Harris campaign has fundraised off the announcement.

The endorsement was not the first time that Swift has spoken about politics. She previously endorsed Democratic candidates in the 2018 midterms, and the 2020 presidential election, per The Hill.
