A distraught woman took to social media to vent about an issue that middle-class Americans know all too well.

“This mother makes $60,000 but can’t afford her daughter’s medical procedure. However. If she were to downgrade her job and salary, she would qualify for government medical assistance for her daughter. What’s even more messed up is that she’s from Denver, where every migrant gets free healthcare. Make it make sense!” the caption on the video reads.

“I feel like only in America can you need medical assistance that you can’t afford to get, and in order to get government help, you have to make under a certain amount,” she says.

“So if you’re someone who like, makes $60,000 a year,” she gestured at herself, “you don’t qualify for any f**king help, but you can’t actually afford to get your child the services that they f**king need.”

“But if I quit my job and go work for McDonald’s, I can live off the government and then she can have the help that she needs? Make it make sense!” she shouts emotionally.
