GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump brought up illegal immigration during the debate, referencing reports in Springfield, Ohio, that Haitian illegal immigrants are eating pets.

“In Springfield, they’re eating the dogs… the people that came in,” Trump said. “They’re eating the cats. They’re eating the pets of the people that live there, and this is what’s happening in our country, and it’s a shame.”

According to recent reports and Twitter videos, Haitian migrants have allegedly been reeking havoc in a small town in Springfield, Ohio, where pets have allegedly been harmed or eaten.

Trump had referenced illegal immigration earlier and mentioned another small town in Colorado. Aurora made headlines when videos circulated online of Venezuelan gangs occupying apartment buildings in the city.

“You see what’s happening with towns throughout the United States,” Trump said earlier. “You look at Springfield, Ohio. You look at Aurora in Colorado. They are taking over the towns. They’re taking over buildings. They’re going in violently. These are the people that she and Biden led into our country, and they’re destroying our country. They’re dangerous.”
