Fox News reporter Bill Melugin smacked down a Democrat lawmaker who downplayed the activity of a violent Venezuelan gang that made national headlines over their takeover of Denver-area apartment complexes.

In a shocking viral video that illustrated the criminal foreign element that has now set up shop in the U.S. thanks to the open borders policies of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, the armed illegal alien thugs were seen forcing their way into an Aurora, Colorado apartment.

But according to one House member, Rep. Jason Crow (D-CO) who is understandably desperate to deflect criticism from failed “border czar” Harris, the talk about Tren de Aragua, a pack of predators who have been described as “MS-13 on steroids” is overblown.

“Those exaggerating and distorting the Aurora gang issue need to stop. Their misrepresentations are not based in reality,” Crow said in a post to X. “I’ve met and spoken with federal law enforcement and local leaders: the gang issues are being grossly exaggerated and misrepresented.”

“Current gang activity is consistent with trends across Colorado and law enforcement is dealing with it. In fact, violent crime is going down in the metro area,” the Democrat added. “Misrepresentations about crime only make it harder for law enforcement to do their job and harder for the residents impacted by squalid conditions to find suitable housing.”

“To be clear, the politicians parachuting into our community couldn’t care less about youth violence, housing insecurity, or refugee resettlement challenges,” Crow said.

But Melugin called B.S., responding to Crow’s minimizing of the foreign thug army, “Democrat Colorado Congressman claims Tren de Aragua headlines in Aurora are exaggerated – says it’s part of normal gang activity.

“But normal gang activity doesn’t include allowing the mass catch & release of a foreign prison gang at the southern border, which politicians falsely claimed was “closed” and “secure” at the same time these gang members were crossing illegally & being released into the country with little to no ability to vet them,” the journalist pointed out.

“The emerging prevalence of the gang setting up pockets around the country is not exaggerated, and numerous federal officials have told us targeting TdA is now a top priority,” Melugin added, calling out Crow for his lack of seriousness on a matter that is only now getting the attention that it deserves.

Crow’s dishonesty was also on display at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, a rabid hatefest where he was among the Democrats who used an oversized “Project 2025” prop to claim that a conservative group’s suggestions is “proof” that GOP nominee Donald J. Trump is the new Hitler even though the former president has repeatedly denied that he has anything to do with it.

He wasn’t being honest about Project 2025 and Trump just like he isn’t about the threat from Tren de Aragua, and Melugin wasn’t having any of it.

Melugin was joined by other X users who also rejected the congressman’s gaslighting to protect Harris from criticism over the consequences of a lack of border control.

Not only does the Venezuelan prison gang have a Denver-area presence, but members are carrying out crimes across the country, a big problem for Kamala who as “border czar” could have played a big role in keeping the thugs out. If she really wanted to.
