Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) is as feisty as ever, especially when it comes to his stance on defending Israel.

The junior senator was not too happy with Meta, the company that owns Facebook after its board ruled that the infamous cry calling for the removal of Jews does not violate hate speech policy.

“In reviewing three cases involving different pieces of Facebook content containing the phrase ‘From the River to the Sea,’ the Board finds they did not break Meta’s rules on Hate Speech, Violence and Incitement or Dangerous Organizations and Individuals. Specifically, the three pieces of content contain contextual signs of solidarity with Palestinians – but no language calling for violence or exclusion. They also do not glorify or even refer to Hamas, an organization designated as dangerous by Meta,” the company said in a statement.

Fetterman did not mince words in reacting on X, “F*ck that. It’s blatant antisemitic hate speech calling for the elimination of Israel from the map.”

Caution: Adult Language

Anti-Defamation League CEO Jonathan Greenblatt responded to the ruling by blasting Meta’s Oversight Board for its “pattern of supreme indifference to online hate and harassment.”

“ADL believes that the phrase ‘from the river to the sea’ is hate speech,” Greenblatt said in a statement shared on social media.

He wrote: “’From the river to the sea’ is used as shorthand for ‘from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free,’ which is an antisemitic slogan commonly featured in anti-Israel campaigns and chanted at demonstrations. This rallying cry, enshrined in the charter of Hamas, has long been used by anti-Israel voices, including supporters of terrorist organizations such as Hamas and the PFLP, which seek Israel’s destruction through violent means.”

Fetterman’s response proves yet again that while he is still a raging liberal, the Democrat is not cut from the same cloth as most of the political class.
