ARLINGTON, VA — Local wife Katherine Bassett wrapped up her new home improvement project much later than expected after significant delays spent setting up her phone camera tripod.

According to Bill Bassett, Katherine’s husband, the project had gotten off to a smooth start when Katherine cleaned the kitchen immaculately in preparation for repainting it, then enlisted the kids into filming for her.

“It was going really well — she filmed the intro in just three takes,” Bill said, shaking his head. “Then we started to get into trouble. First, she couldn’t decide where to put the camera tripod so that her followers wouldn’t be able to see all the baby stuff in the living room, but she still wanted a clean shot of our dining room in the background, so we had to eat in the front room for a day or two. Then she couldn’t decide which paint would show up in the video best, and she hadn’t gotten any new subscribers in the last twelve hours, so she got a bit worried that way, too. Finally, we managed to get the tripods set where she wanted them, but it was already way over time by then. At least it’s over now.”

Sources say that Katherine spent immense amounts of time and energy to edit all 23 hours of footage into a three-minute YouTube short of her immaculate house and kitchen before posting it to her channel with the hashtags #justthrewthistogether #excusemymess #caughtmeonamonday.

At publishing time, Katherine had been rewarded for her efforts with four new followers and her teen son spilling tomato sauce on her newly painted walls.
