Shout Your Abortion Party Calls Out Abortion 13 Times – Up Nearly 3x Since 2020

Washington, D.C. – Tonight, delegates to the Democratic National Abortion Convention ratified the most pro-abortion platform in Democratic Party history. The 2024 Democratic Party platform:

  • Promises “national legislation” to mandate all-trimester abortion in every state and enshrining abortion with no limits in the U.S. Constitution.
  • Calls for the repeal of the Hyde Amendment to force taxpayers to pay for elective abortions, even painful late-term abortions.
  • Touts the Biden-Harris administration’s expansion of dangerous abortion drugs through the mail and to retail pharmacies; its illegal taxpayer-funded abortions in veterans hospitals; its efforts to force ER doctors to carry out abortions; and its shielding of abortion trafficking across state lines.
  • Repeatedly attacks President Trump and the Supreme Court for the Dobbs decision and disparages the pro-life laws of 24 states that protect 200,000+ lives annually.

Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America blasted the Democrats’ pro-abortion platform:

“The party that called for abortions to be ‘safe, legal and rare’ is long gone – left in the dust by the ‘Shout Your Abortion Party’ of Harris and Walz. Tonight, Democrats passed a platform that explicitly mentions abortion 13 times – almost three times more than the 2020 platform,” said SBA Pro-Life America President Marjorie Dannenfelser. “The Democrats shout just as loudly in what they don’t say. Amid empty platitudes on ‘reproductive freedom,’ they have no plan to fight abortion coercion and the epidemic of unwanted abortions in America – in fact they admit abortion on demand makes men ‘more free’ to get out of child-rearing. They ignore the majority of women facing unplanned pregnancy who want real solutions to keep their children, not more pressure to abort. And they lack the courage to tell the truth about their agenda to go even further than Roe by passing a national all-trimester abortion mandate – imposing abortion on demand in the seventh, eighth and ninth month of pregnancy, paid for by taxpayers, in all 50 states. Every voter deserves a clear answer from every candidate on where – if anywhere – they draw the line.”

SBA Pro-Life America is tracking the extremism of the Harris-Walz ticket. The group plans to monitor and fact-check the convention across all its social media channels throughout the week.
