Monday was a big day out on these digital streets. Donald Trump made his return to X. In the evening, he sat down for a livestream marathon with Elon Musk. As you may have read in the headlines, it was “marred” by technical issues… in the beginning. After that, they spoke for two hours covering every topic you would want them to. There were five key points that stood out for me that, if the campaign focuses on over the next eighty-ish days, we’re all gonna be a’ight.

Overall, it was boring and informative. The two exact things it NEEDED to be. The people complaining about it were going to find something to complain about anyway. And the “technical” difficulties are a 12-hour news cycle tops.

What’s more important is what Trump x Elon talked about. The first thing Kamala is trying to do is convince you (with the help of the media) that she was never the border czar. They way Trump uses the assassination attempt to segue into the Harris-Biden border crisis is brilliant.

Hitting Weird Walz on putting tampons in the boys’ bathroom cuts through the “he’s a folksy middle-American dad” bullplop. The Left is trying to turn it into Republicans attacking him for putting tampons in school bathrooms. That’s something that only the Left cares about. The middle Americans that Kamala thinks she’s appealing to with Tim Walz think it’s weird how Walz thinks boys can have periods.

Kamala’s attempt to steal Trump’s “No Tax on Tips” idea sets up a perfect attack to remind Americans about the 87,000 IRS agents Harris-Biden added to go after American taxpayers. Harris was the tiebreaking vote. One of their targets? Tipped workers.

The skyrocketing personal debt that Americans have gone into to survive the Harris-Biden administration is underreported. Put of every economic issue other than grocery prices, this resonates.

Also, these bars from Elon Musk are crucial. He’s not alone:

I stood in line for six hours to shake Obama’s hand when he was running for president, so it’s not like I’m some sort of dyed-in-the-wool Republican. I’d actually call myself, historically, a moderate Democrat. But now, I feel that we’re really at a critical juncture for the country. I think a lot of people thought the Biden administration would be a moderate administration, but it’s not. We’re just going to see and even further-left administration with Kamala. That’s my honest opinion.

And just because I’m a Wayne’s World fan, this cracked me up.

Between JD Vance cooking on Sunday to yesterday’s return to Twitter, it’s been a good week for the Trump campaign so far. The Trump x Elos livestream provided a metric buttload of issues to hit Kamala Harris with. Now we just need the discipline to do so.
